Introducing the Mynavi Tour de Kyushu Locus Program

The Mynavi Tour de Kyushu Locus Program is an initiative associated with the Mynavi Tour de Kyushu event. It is organized in collaboration with Mynavi Corporation, the Diamond Partner of the event, along with the General Incorporated Association Kyushu Economic Federation and the General Incorporated Association Tour de Kyushu. This program aligns with the fundamental concept of the event, which is “Creating a Sustainable Future for Kyushu.”

Locus, or “ローカス” in Japanese, is a program developed by Mynavi Corporation. It aims to foster connections between local businesses and high school students, encouraging them to engage in discussions about regional challenges and collaboratively develop solutions. The Mynavi Tour de Kyushu Locus Program is a special initiative launched as part of the larger event, focusing on contemplating the future of Kyushu.

Exploratory learning lessons conducted at a Kyushu International University Affiliated High School in Kitakyushu City in collaboration with Zenrin Co., Ltd.

Program Overview:

  • Implementation Period: May 19, 2023, to November 2023 (tentative)
  • Participating Schools: 4 schools in Fukuoka Prefecture, 6 schools in Kumamoto Prefecture, 4 schools in Oita Prefecture (as of May 22, 2023)
  • Number of Participating Students: Approximately 600 students (as of May 22, 2023)
  • Collaborating Companies: Approximately 20 companies (estimated)
  • Program Delivery Format:
    • Pre-recorded video lessons
    • Online lessons
    • Face-to-face lessons
  • Program Implementation Steps:
    1. Input of challenges to participants
    2. Investigative learning based on challenges and themes
    3. Formulation of proposed solutions (primary proposals)
    4. Exchange of ideas with companies
    5. Exchange of ideas among participants from different regions
    6. (Optional) Visit to the event
    7. Final proposal formulation
    8. Presentation of results
